International workshops
An award is not only an honour for the recipient, but also an incentive to share experiences. Our e-Citizen Charter has been adopted as a standard for public service delivery on all levels of Dutch government. This is the result of an awareness and take-up campaign, in which the Workbook e-Citizen Charter is a central instrument. It has been used in workshops and training courses for politicians, managers and civil servants to stress the importance of:- a common standard for quality requirements in order to support interoperability;
- cooperation between government agencies to guarantee integrated services;
- citizen centricity as a condition for take up and e-Inclusion.
The workshop approach we took in The Netherlands might be worthwhile repeating in other countries. On request the e-Citizen Programme can give presentations or organize workshops (tailored to national of local needs).
